The Samshield Helmet is made for style and comfort, but most importantly for safety. Samshield helmets conform to ASTM, VG1 and SEI safety standards, making these fully legal for British Dressage, British Showjumping, British Eventing, British Riding Club and Pony Club competitions into 2017.
MATERIALS FOR OPTIMAL SAFETY
The outer shell of the Shadowmatt helmet is made of polycarbonate, which is one of the materials used for high-end motorcycle helmets. The helmet is then covered with anti-scratch mat paint.
The inner shell is made of polystyrene with variable density providing effective dissipation of the energy produced upon impact.
The internal comfort foam hat lining ensures a consistent thickness inside the helmet. The use of a liner with semi-rigid jugular cancel out the risks of the helmet tipping in the case of violent movement.
This internal comfort foam is removable yet sturdy thanks to a strong clip system.
It can therefore be washed at your convenience in order to maintain a clean helmet.
PERFECT SIZE ADJUSTMENT FOR UNMATCHED COMFORT
A thorough anthropomorphic study led to the design of an inner liner, creating unmatched comfort.
3 shell sizes are available: S, M, L.
Each shell can accommodate 4 to 5 inner foams of different sizes in order to obtain a perfect adjustment to the rider’s head.
The size grid is available from 51 to 61.
With this system, it is also possible to follow the growth of a young rider.
POWERFUL INTERNAL AIRFLOW
Equipped with a front air inlet, the Shadowmatt helmet provides exceptional ventilation.
Fresh air is channelled from the front vent to the back extractors in the helmet, preventing uncomfortable sweating.
This concept generates a strong internal airflow avoiding the need for visible and unsightly air inlets: the equestrian elegance is retained without banishing technicality and comfort.
The Shadowmatt helmet is available in black, blue and brown.
The Shadowmatt is available with the dressage chin strap option: this option allows women to wear their hair in a bun without being constrained by the harness of the helmet. This chin strap is shorter by 2.5 cm in order to allow more room for the hair bun.
